Big Boy Classic .44 Magnum, .45 Colt, .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum & .327 Fed Mag
The Rifle That Brings Out The West In You
Back when the West was still wild and the rifle was the tool of choice for survival and frontier justice, the venerable .44-caliber put more meat on the table and outlaws in the ground than any other bullet.
The West may have been tamed and fenced long ago, but its unbridled spirit lives on in this line of traditional big-bore Henry rifles.
Choose from .44 Magnum, .45 Colt, .357 Magnum, .41 Magnum, and .327 Federal Magnum. All are SASS approved so Cowboy Action shooters who enjoy stepping back to that bygone era can use them in competition.
Don’t let the retro look fool you, these rifles are much more than shootin’ irons for today’s new breed of cowboy.
They’re also the unbeatable choice of big-game hunters who prefer the traditional look, feel, reliability and accuracy that comes from an authentic Henry rifle.
The traditional 20″ octagonal barrel is outfitted with a classic fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with a reversible white diamond insert and a brass beaded front sight. The tubular magazine tops off at 10 rounds.
Both the straight-grip stock and forearm are crafted of select American walnut accented with a brass barrel band and Henry’s recognizable brass receiver. All have that crisp, smooth action that sets an authentic American-made Henry apart from other lever action rifles on the range and in the woods today.
The .44 Magnum rifle can shoot .44 special rounds, the .357 Magnum rifle can shoot .38 special rounds, and the .327 Federal Magnum rifle can also shoot .32 H&R.

I Love the Henry Big Boy 45 Colt that I purchased. It is an amazing shooting rifle . I use it for cowboy action shooting and wanted to pass along a photo of me competing last year. Thanks for producing such a great product.

Well, the Big Boy .357 definitely came through for me, Anthony. I’m thrilled to have been able to bag this animal (see attached photo) with that rifle.

Good morning Gentlemen,
Mary suggested that I update you on our testing on the rifle, as the results have been incredible.
The bottom line, this Henry Big Boy is a “tack driver” that will rival rifles costing twice as much. It caused quite a scene at the Zia Rifle and Pistol range here in Albuquerque. Not only did everyone comment on its beauty, everyone wanted to shoot it, so I let everyone have a turn….. light recoil, smooth action and accurate…. typical comments from the other shooters.
We will continue to document our results and then prepare a draft of the review article…. BUT, bottom line, this gun is a real winner. An awesome American rifle that is useful for close in hunting or just plain plinking fun.
My bride, Mary, an accomplished big game hunter in her own right and lifetime Safari Club member informed me…. “Jim you got the Henry single shot,..,. isn’t it My Turn with this Henry?” Yep, she has a new favorite rifle for her next deer/hog hunt in south Texas this fall…. and Dr. Donny is green with envy.
We will keep you posted and send you our draft for comments PRIOR to publication, and then submit it to Chuck Hawks, AmmoLand and Universal Hunter. BTW, even if Winchester was still an American rifle (which it isn’t), your Henry is superior.
Warmest regards,
Jim Clary
Hello Dan and Henry Repeating Arms,
My name is Drew and I wanted to just send you a massive thank you for the high performing firearms you produce. This is a very delayed thank you but I feel it needs to be sent.
Last year (2016) my beautiful wife purchased my dream rifle for me as an early Christmas present. It just so happens that it was your .44 Mag big boy rifle. I had wanted it for years but always had something come up that never allowed me to make the purchase. So after two years of stopping to hold it and admire its amazing craftsmanship, I was able to call myself a proud owner of one.
I asked my cousin to check the sights for me and make sure that it shot true. I was working way to many hours and was going to have time to sight it in before gun season opened. He said he put three rounds downrange at 100 yards and hit within an inch straight out of the box.
Jump ahead to opening day of WI gun deer season and I was proud to be carrying this rifle out to the stand with me. Keep in mind I personally had never this weapon before. Lo and behold the biggest deer I had ever seen walked across the field 15 minutes after the season opened. He was roughly a little over 100 yards away when he stopped giving me the opportunity to put the sights on him. I fired one round out of the rifle. The first round I had ever fired out of the rifle. After waiting an hour or so, I went to see what had happened and if I had managed to knock him down.
I am proud to say that I was able to harvest the biggest deer ever taken off of our land with the very first bullet I ever fired out of my Big Boy rifle. It has performed flawlessly ever since as well.
Thank you again,
Drew
P.S. I have attached a photo of me with the buck and the rifle. I will also be purchasing many more henry firearms in the years to come.
