RICE LAKE, Wis. – March 4, 2025 – Henry founder and CEO Anthony Imperato recently honored Ralf Hartmann as the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA) New York State Instructor of the Year, recognizing his exceptional contributions to hunter education and firearms safety. In recognition of his achievement, Imperato presented Hartmann with a custom serial-numbered Henry Side Gate Lever Action Rifle chambered in .360 Buckhammer.

The IHEA State Instructor of the Year award is given to educators in each state who go above and beyond in their efforts to instill safe hunting and firearms handling practices in new hunters. Nominated by Kelly Stang, wildlife biologist and New York State Hunter Education Program Administrator, Hartmann was selected for his dedication to the field over the past 11 years, during which he has introduced over 1,000 students to hunting and the outdoors.
Fluent in German, Hartmann has been instrumental in expanding hunter education accessibility to Amish and Mennonite students. His language skills have allowed him to teach courses tailored to these communities, and he has worked diligently to recruit, train, and supervise Amish and Mennonite instructors, the first of whom were certified in 2024.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Hartmann credits his father for first introducing him to hunting and firearms safety. His early training included carrying an unloaded firearm in the field for a year before being allowed to hunt. In 1975, he pursued a German Hunting License, a rigorous process that involved a six-month course covering animal husbandry, genetics, wildlife identification, firearms knowledge, German hunting traditions, and laws, culminating in a written exam and in-person board interview.
Upon receiving the award, Hartmann expressed his dream of hunting Red Stags or Chamois in Europe, a nod to his deep appreciation for international hunting traditions.

In addition to celebrating Hartmann’s achievements, the Saranac Lake Fish & Game Club recognized Anthony Imperato, receiving a Certificate of Appreciation and Life Membership for his ongoing dedication to hunter education and conservation efforts.

RICE LAKE, Wis. – February 27, 2025 – Henry proudly announces the launch of the Spirit of the Corps Tribute Edition Rifle, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States Marine Corps and the men and women who have joined its ranks. A Tribute to 250 Years of Indomitable Spirit
The United States Marine Corps was established on November 10, 1775, when the Second Continental Congress authorized two battalions of Marines to serve as a naval infantry force. Since then, the USMC has been the tip of America’s spear in conflicts around the world, a legacy captured with a collage of exquisitely detailed artwork and engravings on the new Spirit of the Corps Tribute Edition Rifle:
- The right side of the receiver cover depicts vignettes from the modern era of the Marine Corps, featuring a Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, a V-22 Osprey aircraft, and the first words of the Marines’ Hymn, “From the halls of Montezuma.”
- The left side of the receiver cover continues the hymn with “To the shores of Tripoli,” accompanied by vignettes portraying Marines from key conflicts throughout history, including World War II, World War I, the Vietnam War, and the Revolutionary War’s Continental Marines.
- Each key detail is 24kt gold-plated atop a background of polished nickel plating.

RICE LAKE, Wis., November 8, 2024 – Henry recently donated another $25,000 to the First Responders Children’s Foundation at a celebratory National First Responders Day event in New York City’s Times Square. The donation follows a $50,000 donation in 2022 and a $25,000 donation in 2023, bringing Henry Repeating Arms’ total contributions to $100,000 in support of the organization’s mission to help support the children and families of first responders who have been killed or injured in the line of duty.
Founded in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks when 800 children lost a first responder parent in the line of duty, First Responders Children’s Foundation provides a range of services from grants and scholarships to counseling and community engagement events. Their National First Responder’s Day celebration includes a “Roll Call of Heroes” to shine a spotlight on the men and women who put the protection and safety of their communities first.

RICE LAKE, Wis., July 25, 2024 – Henry announced today the release of a limited-edition series of fifty “Team Baylee” lever-action rifles to raise funds for the family of 10-year-old Baylee Rish of Wewahitchka, Florida. The donated rifles, which are now available for purchase while supplies last are a continuation of the company’s ‘Guns For Great Causes’ charitable efforts, focusing primarily on pediatric cancer cases and children’s cancer hospitals.
Baylee Rish was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2022 and is the latest beneficiary of Henry Repeating Arms’ Guns For Great Causes charitable endeavors.
In December 2022, Baylee was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL), a rare and aggressive form of blood and bone marrow cancer. Treatment is intense, with some weeks consisting of up to four consecutive days of chemotherapy treatment, spinal tap chemo injections, and spinal bone marrow sampling, and there is still more to come as her course of treatment runs through March 2025.
Available exclusively through Henry Repeating Arms’ website, all proceeds from the “Team Baylee” rifle sales will be given to the Rish family to help offset mounting insurance copays and the out-of-pocket expenses associated with traveling 2.5 hours each way for treatment.
