Henry Repeating Arms, the leading lever action rifle manufacturer headquartered in Bayonne NJ, will begin manufacturing their steel centerfire rifles in their Rice Lake, Wisconsin facility in 2014. To date the Wisconsin plant has supplied the Bayonne operation with many components used in all Henry models including receivers, bolts, sights and other internal parts. Several million dollars of new computerized machining equipment was invested in the Wisconsin facility to support the manufacturing of the company’s caliber .30-30 and .45-70 rifles and to increase the volume of the components produced for its rimfire rifles.
Henry Repeating Arms purchased the 138,000 sq ft Rice Lake facility in 2006 from Wright Products, a subsidiary of FKI Industries, who manufactured their own line of storm door hardware. Wright also supplied components to other industries including Henry Repeating since 1998. Wright ceased manufacturing due to price pressure in the hardware industry, causing hundreds of lost jobs. Henry purchased the building and manufacturing equipment and retained 17 experienced employees. Today the company employs over 100 people and continues to hire to support its continued growth. Anthony Imperato, President and owner of the company states, “I am proud of what we’ve accomplished in Wisconsin by saving jobs, adding jobs, and creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. I decided to expand our operations here because of the outstanding job our employees do to help us meet increased demand”.
Henry Repeating Arms will build and ship in excess of 300,000 rifles in 2013 and employs 300 people in total. Andy Wickstrom, General Manager of both locations, added, “Henry’s goal is always to manufacture a line of classic, well-crafted firearms that every enthusiast can afford. The passion, expertise, and dedication of our employees in Rice Lake embody the company’s motto, ‘Made In America Or Not Made At All’. We are very proud to make Wisconsin a more integral part of the Henry Family.”

We are pleased to report that we are well on our way to a full recovery from the significant damage sustained from Hurricane Sandy. More than 100 pieces of manufacturing machinery that were damaged by salt water are on track to be repaired or replaced by December 1st. We expect to be fully operational by the beginning of December and have already begun shipping Henry rifles to our distributors.
Anthony Imperato, President of the company states, “This is a painstaking process. We’ve had to replace motors, circuit boards, pumps, coolant tanks, and more. Some of our most expensive sophisticated machinery was damaged beyond repair and had to be replaced outright. We are getting through this with the help of some very talented people including our own staff and we’re on track to emerge stronger with increased manufacturing capacity”.
We have been blessed to have had great support from of our key vendors, such as Ron Helsel from Lesleh Precision, Michael DiMarino of the Linda Tool Company, Joseph Gianetti and the great service staff at Yamazen, the talented technicians at Alta Machine, Scott Seibel of Marin Seibel Electric, the Dibella Contracting company from Bayonne, and the JP Patti Roofing Company to name a few though there are many others.
Hurricane Sandy packed a punch here in Bayonne, and caused significant damage to the Henry Repeating Arms plant. We currently do not have any electricity, nor do we have any telephone or email service. We are hoping that we will once again be operational by the week of November 12th.

Just two short weeks ago Luke Kelley solidified his 2010 CBR World Championship by winning over $20,000.00 at the Mahindra Tractors West Texas Showdown presented by West Texas Chevy Dealers in Lubbock, Texas. To the surprise of this avid outdoorsman and bull rider, the win also earned him a custom engraved Henry Golden Boy Rifle.
When not riding bulls on the Cinch CBR Tour, Kelley is a partner in K&W Outfitters, a hunting guide service near his home in Illinois. He intends to put the prize to good use, stating, “This is a beautiful rifle – rest assured it will be fired – to have Henry involved with CBR is pretty cool, I’ve never won anything like this!”.
In the first Bull Riding event ever sponsored by Henry Repeating Arms, the champion was awarded a customized firearm by Henry President, Anthony Imperato. The rifle boasts the Cinch CBR Tour logo which was beautifully engraved into the solid wood stock. Additionally, the rifle’s signature golden chamber reads “2010 CBR Lubbock Event Champion”. The serial number of the rifle will be customized to reflect Kelley’s initials and birth date.
An East Coast native, this was the first professional bull riding event that Henry President Anthony Imperato had the opportunity to attend, “Partnering with the CBR at the Showdown in West Texas was a great experience. The folks at CBR, the riders, the staff and those who attended the event are our kind of people. I loved the patriotic opening, the excitement and physicality of the bull rides, and thought it was great clean family entertainment. CBR is a brand we want to be aligned with” stated Imperato following the event.
Many of the Cinch CBR Tour events salute the United States Military during the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremony in Lubbock, Texas saluted wounded Iraqi War Veteran and Lubbock native Reas Axtell. In admiration of the veteran’s service to our country Henry’s Imperato offered Axtell his choice of any firearm in the Henry collection. We are proud to announce that Axtell has already ordered his new Henry rifle!
CBR CEO Wes Bruce added, “Partnerships with a brand like Henry Repeating Arms is something that CBR is very proud of. We hope this is the initial venture into a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Henry Repeating Arms.”
