Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – February 6, 2016 – As lead sponsor of the 2016 NRA Foundation Banquet Henry Repeating Arms presented tribute rifles to five deserving individuals who selflessly serve their community, state, and country at the Great American Outdoor Show.

Andy Wickstrom, General Manager of Henry Repeating Arms, spoke to a packed house on Saturday night as he brought each of the local heroes up on stage to be recognized for their outstanding efforts. The presentation started with two NRA Certified Instructors, Bob Sproesser of Berks County and Sharon Gregg of Cumberland County. “These hardworking instructors spend their own hard-earned money and their valuable personal time to teach firearms safety, promote youth shooting sports and preserve out hunting traditions- allowing new generations to continue enjoying and upholding out 2nd amendment rights and freedoms,” Wickstrom explained.

The presentation then shifted to honoring local first responders for their service. “Thank you for saving lives every single day,” said Wickstrom as these two first-responders took the stage. Paul Means, a longtime volunteer ambulance attendant and EMT from Gordonville, PA was awarded with an EMS Tribute Rifle, and Sheriff Clinton “CJ” Walters from Bradford County received a Law Enforcement Tribute Rifle.

The final presentation of the night paid tribute to Glenn Umberger Jr., a Desert Storm and Desert Shield veteran and current State Commander of the Pennsylvania VFW. He also now serves as a Captain in the US ARMY Reserve. Glenn received a Military Service Tribute Rifle in recognition to his service to our country.

“Thank you for your service to our great country, God bless you and God bless America,” Wickstrom proclaimed as the crowd rose to their feet and the presentation concluded.
