Just two short weeks ago Luke Kelley solidified his 2010 CBR World Championship by winning over $20,000.00 at the Mahindra Tractors West Texas Showdown presented by West Texas Chevy Dealers in Lubbock, Texas. To the surprise of this avid outdoorsman and bull rider, the win also earned him a custom engraved Henry Golden Boy Rifle.
When not riding bulls on the Cinch CBR Tour, Kelley is a partner in K&W Outfitters, a hunting guide service near his home in Illinois. He intends to put the prize to good use, stating, “This is a beautiful rifle – rest assured it will be fired – to have Henry involved with CBR is pretty cool, I’ve never won anything like this!”.
In the first Bull Riding event ever sponsored by Henry Repeating Arms, the champion was awarded a customized firearm by Henry President, Anthony Imperato. The rifle boasts the Cinch CBR Tour logo which was beautifully engraved into the solid wood stock. Additionally, the rifle’s signature golden chamber reads “2010 CBR Lubbock Event Champion”. The serial number of the rifle will be customized to reflect Kelley’s initials and birth date.
An East Coast native, this was the first professional bull riding event that Henry President Anthony Imperato had the opportunity to attend, “Partnering with the CBR at the Showdown in West Texas was a great experience. The folks at CBR, the riders, the staff and those who attended the event are our kind of people. I loved the patriotic opening, the excitement and physicality of the bull rides, and thought it was great clean family entertainment. CBR is a brand we want to be aligned with” stated Imperato following the event.
Many of the Cinch CBR Tour events salute the United States Military during the opening ceremonies. The opening ceremony in Lubbock, Texas saluted wounded Iraqi War Veteran and Lubbock native Reas Axtell. In admiration of the veteran’s service to our country Henry’s Imperato offered Axtell his choice of any firearm in the Henry collection. We are proud to announce that Axtell has already ordered his new Henry rifle!
CBR CEO Wes Bruce added, “Partnerships with a brand like Henry Repeating Arms is something that CBR is very proud of. We strive for excellence in all we do and to be associated with brands that have a similar objective is our main goal. We hope this is the initial venture into a long and mutually beneficial relationship with Henry Repeating Arms.”
From CEO & Founder, Anthony Imperato
