SPD CRUSR Rifle
A Field Ethos Collaboration:
Compact, Rugged, Ultralight, Suppressor-Ready
Designed for Expeditionary Hunting
The SPD CRUSR Rifle is built for one mission: to deliver a best-in-class feature set for professional guides, backcountry outfitters, and adventurous hunters who push their expeditions deep into the world’s most remote locales.
Compact, rugged, and ultralight at just 6.7 lbs. with an overall length of 35.25 inches, the CRUSR gives serious adventure goers a thoroughly modern lever action built to thrive where failure isn’t an option. Chambered in .45-70 Gov’t with a 4+1 capacity, this rifle brings enough proven stopping power for all seven continents.
SPD x Field Ethos
An evolution from Henry’s Special Products Division, our advanced R&D group focused on setting new standards for specific use cases, and designed in collaboration with Field Ethos’ gear development team, the CRUSR Rifle is a trim powerhouse born for those who prefer the trails less traveled.
Field Ethos helped shape the CRUSR Rifle from the ground up, bringing years of experience to the design table. Every ounce, material, and finish was considered for real-world practicality. Paired with Henry’s SPD team, this collaboration produced a platform purpose-built for exploration, redefining what makes the ultimate guide’s gun. The partnership is indicated by a ghosted “FE” logo beneath the ejection port.

Ultralight Strength & Expedition-Grade Durability
The CRUSR starts with a 16.5” match-grade 416R stainless steel barrel tension-wrapped in carbon fiber for dramatic weight reduction, improved heat dissipation, and stellar accuracy. This sits atop a magazine tube that is devoid of the cartridge cutout found on other Henry rifles to keep out dirt and debris. A Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) is applied to exterior moving parts like the bolt body, trigger, hammer, and side loading gate for superior wear and weather resistance, and Cerakote is applied to all other external surfaces – Midnight Bronze for the M-LOK handguard and synthetic buttstock, and Midnight Blue for all other external surfaces. This is a rifle designed to endure the extremes, whether it’s strapped to an ATV rack, slung across mountains, or bounced in and out of bush planes.
Suppressor-Ready, Mission-Ready
A 5/8×24 threaded muzzle allows hunters to use a suppressor in the field, reducing recoil and the sound signature. While optics can be mounted using the receiver-mounted Picatinny rail or the Weaver 63B hole spacing underneath it, the Field Ethos team opted for the reliability of iron sights and the quick target acquisition of a ghost ring rear sight. The muzzle end of the barrel is topped with a brass bead front sight, the base of which is also finished with Cerakote.
Made in America, Proven in the Wild
Every CRUSR Rifle is built in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, inspected and certified by one of the SPD engineers, and backed by Henry’s incomparable Lifetime Warranty and 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. It’s an expedition-grade lever action crafted by American hands, for those who know no bounds.
The backcountry now has a new benchmark.
