The most obvious change from our standard Long Ranger is the shortened 18.5-inch blued steel carbine barrel. The .308 Win / 7.62×51 NATO chambering gives it all the terminal authority it needs for any whitetail at the ranges this type of hunting produces, which tends to be up close and personal.
