This rather niche cartridge was designed to not only improve upon .32 H&R Magnum, but also provide the same power as .357 Magnum in a smaller cartridge that could increase the capacity from five shots to six or more. On paper, it can do everything that the .357 Magnum can do, but with less recoil and muzzle blast.
