Henry Donates $25,000 to Border Patrol Foundation

El Paso, Texas, May 16, 2023 – Henry has donated $25,000 to the Border Patrol Foundation (BPF) in support of the organization’s mission to honor the memory of fallen U.S. Border Patrol agents and provide immediate financial aid to their families.

Growing in scope since its founding in 2009, BPF now offers financial assistance to agents and Border Patrol support personnel who are wounded, injured or have fallen ill while performing their duties, as well as their family members, and a scholarship program for the children of fallen Border Patrol agents.

The donation is part of Henry Repeating Arms’ $1 million Silver Anniversary pledge through its charitable branch, Guns for Great Causes, and the company’s longstanding advocacy for American law enforcement agencies. The company has donated $275,000 to organizations supporting law enforcement personnel and their families since June 2022, including Tunnel to Towers, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), First Responders Children’s Foundation, and more.

RICE LAKE, Wis, May 11, 2023 – Henry is releasing a limited-edition series of fifty “Team Jack” edition rifles to raise funds for the Vancouver, Washington, family of 14-year-old Jack Troxel to provide financial relief for past and ongoing medical expenses.

Jack was diagnosed with an intracranial malignant non-germinomatous germ cell tumor on July 2nd, 2021, and has since gone through four brain surgeries, seven rounds of chemotherapy, one round of high-dose chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant, six weeks of full brain and spine radiation, and four weeks of intensive physical, occupational, and speech therapy to counteract the toll such treatments take on a developing body. Jack is currently in remission and receives MRI scans every three months.

Henry Repeating Arms Founder and CEO Anthony Imperato donated all fifty of the rifles, which are now available for sale online. Baron Engraving of Trumbull, Connecticut, donated the artwork development time, engraving, and hand-painted embellishments. All proceeds from the “Team Jack” campaign, including both rifles going up for auction, will be presented to the Troxels.

YSSA faces the challenge of introducing new people to shooting sports and hunting by identifying and supporting the needs of the country’s most successful youth programs with safe, reliable equipment. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind, Apr. 25, 2023 – Henry

President Andy Wickstrom had the distinct honor of presenting three Indiana native military veterans with specially engraved Henry Military Service Tribute Edition rifles as a token of gratitude for their service at the Indianapolis Convention Center ahead of the 152nd NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits.

Wickstrom also presented a $25,000 donation to the Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program, a firearm accident prevention program that seeks to help parents, law enforcement, and community leaders educate Pre-K through 4th-grade children about what to do if they come across a gun.

The first recipients called to the stage were Retired First Sergeant Johnathan Teagarden Jr., who served in the United States Army for more than twenty-five years with four tours in the Middle East, and his father Johnathan Teagarden Sr., who served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. The Teagarden family has a long history of answering the call of duty, with every generation serving in the military dating back to Teagarden Jr.’s great-great-grandfather, who fought as an Infantryman in the Civil War.

Following the Teagardens, Wickstrom called Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Sammy L. Davis to the stage. Davis was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1968 by President Lyndon B. Johnson for his unwavering courage and tenacity during battle and for saving the lives of at least three comrades despite a broken back and extensive injuries.

Further expanding beyond the lever action rifles and shotguns synonymous with the Henry name, the Henry Big Boy Revolver is both a historic release that collectors will relish as an exceedingly rare opportunity to own the first bonafide handgun made by the long gun manufacturer and the perfect sidekick for owners of the Henry Big Boy rifle. Chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Special, the traditional double-action revolver is available in two different grip configurations – the larger, flared Gunfighter style or the more compact, rounded Birdshead style. The Big Boy Revolver borrows design cues from its rifle counterpart with deep and polished blueing on the medium-sized steel frame, 6-round quick-release cylinder, and 4” barrel, grip panels cut from genuine American walnut, and a polished brass trigger guard that wraps all way around the grip to the top of the backstrap. Developed in partnership with Remington Ammunition and optimized for use in lever action rifles, the new .360 Buckhammer straight wall cartridge provides extended range, higher velocity, more energy, and a flatter trajectory than the competition for hunters of whitetail deer and other medium-sized game. With the ammunition rolling out nationwide, Henry is bringing the first rifles chambered for the new caliber to market with the Henry Steel Lever Action .360 Buckhammer and the Henry Lever Action X Model .360 Buckhammer. Sharing the same matte blued steel receiver and 5-round capacity between them, differences between the two models are most notable with the furniture. The X Model variant sports durable black synthetic stocks with M-Lok and Picatinny accessory slots, while the Steel Lever Action version uses checkered American walnut. In 2003, the Big Boy was born after receiving enormous demand to make a pistol-calibered version of the flagship Henry Golden Boy .22. Twenty years later, the Big Boy and Henry’s other brass-framed centerfire lever action rifles are getting an overhaul to include one of the most requested features, a side loading gate, useful for keeping the magazine topped off while on a hunt or at the range. These rifles retain their original removable inner magazine tube as a quicker, safer way to unload the firearm. Henry Repeating Arms recently discovered a safety issue affecting certain lever action .45-70 Gov’t rifles manufactured between December 14, 2022, and January 11, 2023. Henry is voluntarily initiating a recall to protect the safety of its customers because, under certain conditions, it is possible that some of these rifles may unintentionally discharge without the trigger being pulled if the hammer is released or dropped from the cocked position. To prevent the possibility of death or serious personal injury, owners of a Henry Repeating Arms lever action .45-70 should discontinue all use until it is determined whether or not the rifle is subject to recall.

Any Henry Repeating Arms firearm obtained before December 2022 is not subject to this recall, and no action is needed.

To determine if a Henry .45-70 lever action rifle is affected, owners should look up the serial number of their firearm at henryusa.com/recall, email [email protected], or call toll-free 1-866-200-2354 (M-F, 9 am ET-5 pm ET).

The safety issue leading to this voluntary recall was discovered internally during test firing and is related to firing pins that may not meet specifications. Henry Repeating Arms is ready to replace the firing pins free of charge in the order by which the firearms are received. Information on the current turnaround time for rifles returned under this recall will be provided at henryusa.com/recall. Henry Repeating Arms will make every effort to minimize the turnaround time.
