The New Lincoln Bicentennial Rifle to be Auctioned – Proceeds to Charity


abe-lincolnlogoLicensed by the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, manufactured exclusively by Henry Repeating Arms, all proceeds to benefit Farmers and Hunters Feed the Hungry NEW JERSEY, January 29, 2009 – A Henry Golden Boy Lincoln Bicentennial Commemorative rifle, serial number 6, will be auctioned to mark the 200th anniversary of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday. MSRP is $1200.

The online auction is being held now at The bidding ends at 11:00 pm EST on Thursday, February 12, 2009. Proceeds will be donated to Farmers and Hunters Feed the Hungry, a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) faith-based feeding ministry that enables hunters to return to their heritage as food providers.

Lincoln owned the original Henry rifle in serial #6 which now resides in the Smithsonian and is considered a priceless national treasure “Lincoln was a very religious man and his favorite devotional reading spoke of being charitable to the less fortunate”, says Anthony Imperato, owner and President of the company. This auction was inspired by the words of Lincoln’s Second Inaugural Address in 1865 that began, “With malice toward none; with charity for all…”.
