Barron County Economic Development Corporation Honors Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO Henry Repeating Arms As Entrepreneur of the Year

Barron, WI – Barron County Economic Development Corporation honored Anthony Imperato as the Entrepreneur of the Year at its 1^st Annual Business Awards Breakfast.

“It was our honor to award Mr. Imperato as our Entrepreneur of the Year”, Executive Director Dave Armstrong said.  “Mr. Imperato has grown Henry Firearms from 17 employees in Wisconsin to now over 500 employees while making Henry the leading lever action manufacturer in world, top 5 in the long gun manufacturing and top 10 in the firearms manufacturing in the USA.”

In his acceptance speech Mr. Imperato said “Good morning everyone. I am sorry that I could not be here in person to attend this inaugural event, but I have an important family obligations this weekend – It’s my first grandchild’s christening! It is quite an honor to be acknowledged as Entrepreneur of the Year. By definition, an entrepreneur is someone who takes a significant financial risk starting a business. My risk factor was reduced by deciding back in 2006 to plant our flag here in Rice Lake, Barron County, and in the great state of Wisconsin.

As I have always said Henry Repeating Arms is Henry Repeating Arms because of its dedicated employees. I accept this award on behalf of all of our talented hard-working employees. I want to thank and acknowledge the Barron County EDC for being a valued partner in our endeavors, and in particular their focus on affordable housing which will help alleviate labor challenges.
