Brass Lever Action .45-70 .45-70
The choice of the big-game hunters
It’s a caliber that traces its origins from the battlefield to its modern-day presence in hunting camps across the country, and it’s capable of handling even the largest game in North America.
Introduced by the U.S. Army in 1873, this cartridge was first known as the .45 Government. As it made its way into commercially produced firearms the name .45-70 appeared because it was loaded with a 70-grain black powder charge with 405 and 500-grain bullets. Virtually all rifle making companies of the late 19th century chambered their single shots and lever actions for the .45-70. As those companies and their rifles faded away, the .45-70’s popularity did not. Factory .45-70 ammunition has been cataloged continuously since 1873 but never in the variety of loadings available now, in the 21st century. They range from 405-grain lead bullet, low-velocity loads for deer hunting and target shooting to high-velocity 300 to 400 grain jacketed bullet once meant for large game.
The H010B Brass Lever Action .45-70 receiver is made of hardened brass fitted to a deep blued steel 22″ octagon barrel with a removable tubular magazine of four-round capacity.
Its straight-grip buttstock and brass-capped forend are crafted of beautiful American walnut. The model H010B is factory issued with a fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and a brass beaded front sight. Because the receiver is drilled and tapped, scope mounting is an easy option.
For those seeking classic good looks combined with a time-honored Old West cartridge, the H010B deserves a spot in your safe and whatever adventure you decide to take it on from there.
Thanks again for the support of Hunter Safety. The hunt was a grand success, and the Henry 45-70 rifle was a joy to carry and shoot.
I look forward to adding couple more Henry Lever Guns to me collection in the future.
Merry Christmas,

Love my new Henry 45-70. Thank you Mr. Imperato for such a beautiful piece of art. Made in America is number one for me, a USMC Veteran. Next Mares leg, 357 and the companion Big Boy 357.

Not only is my Henry 45-70 gorgeous but it performs flawlessly. One shot
drop, and no tracking necessary. Just pull the trigger and bring it home.

Happy Customer
Mr. Imperato,
I am following up with you from meeting you at the NRA Convention in Atlanta. I am the one that told you I have your H001 and my brother has the 45/70 rifle. It was a pleasure meeting you. Again, thanks for making your products in the USA.
Respectfully,
Keith Coble
Just want to start out saying your customer service is outstanding. The main reason for my email is to tell you how extremely satisfied I am with the Henry Rifle I recently purchased. I have always wanted a .45-70 and finally had the money to buy a case colored model, decided on a Henry and can’t wait to add more of your lever guns to my collection. Beautiful works of art, amazing looking wood and super smooth action, wonderful stock to action fit. Everything about the rifle is superb and wanted to thank you for making such a wonderful product.

Good afternoon Anthony.
OK, I love the lever action .410. I will be a buyer as soon as they release. Is it easy for Henry to get me an early serial number and have one shipped to my FFL dealer?
If that isn’t an easy thing to do, can you tell me what dealer in Minnesota has some on order. I would love to buy an early release carbine.
See the attached pic from my office. I get to look at my .45-70 every day.
Best regards,
Richard R. Roberts
